Social protest style in the novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam by Dian Purnomo: stylistic studies

This study aims to examine and describe Dian Purnomo's authorship style in the novel Perempuan yang Menangis kepada Bulan Hitam (PMBH) based on symbols of sexual violence against women. The use diction, sentence style, imagery is examined using stylistic analysis. results this indicate that there are three forms, namely imagery. Based study, it stated PMBH Proletarian Fiction (Social Protest Fiction). Purnomo, through novel, reveals reality happening Sumba community regarding Marriage Catch tradition. In tradition, many women victims hatred. Purnomo prohibits protests customary rules rulers.
